V46 pulls into Katoomba on the up

A yellow, red and grey V set on taking up the right side of the frame at the intercity platforms of Central station. The front and some of the side of the train is visible. The side of the train is made of corrugated stainless steel and is largely unpainted. On the front, the words "Intercity" and "Transport NSW TrainLink" are marked in white paint. The photo is taken at night, with an almost completely dark sky whilst the platforms are brightly lit by the station lights.

Two fluted silver-bodied train carriages attached to each other, with the coupling and partially open gangway visible at the centre of the frame (portrait orientation). The door on the right carriage is visible and is yellow. The sky is overcast and the roof of the platform is visible to the top of the frame.

Looking into the vestible area of a converted driving trailer of a V-set, the purple interior is brightly lit by sunshine and four bush plum colorued seats face inward, two on each side forming a longitudinal seating arrangement. Some faint marks of cleaned graffiti are visible on the chairs.

The windows in the external doors of V set carriage DIT 9136 have all been vandalised except one. The doors closest to the camera are ajar, showing the other set of doors having their windows replaced with a temporary steel cover.

Double converted driving trailers DCT 9031 and 9040 on V27

The view of the door to the other carriage over an open gangway. The door is a greyish colour with a heavily scratched and unclear window and small handle. The gangway has shiny protective blockers on the side attached to each carriage to prevent people from falling from the train. The interior of the carriage the shot is taken from is painted purple. The lighting is mostly even, and warmer within the carriage.

The doorway of a train carriage taken as the train is moving at speed as indicated by the blurred outside visible through the windows on the yellow doors. To the left wall next the doors a detailed map of the "Sydney rail network" is visible along with some general public transport notice stickers. There are grab handles on both sides of the doorway, and the walls are painted a unique purple colour.
