Welcome to my little corner of the internet where I occasionally put up railway-related photos and posts, mostly from my home state of NSW.
I've had an interest in trains for some time, although I only started properly photographing them in early 2025, when a friend kindly lent me their camera and I discovered the joys of photography.
This is a simple, (mostly) statically generated site powered by Astro v5.12.3. The code is open source for those who want to take a gander: GitHub.
TailwindCSS is used for styling because I can't actually write CSS anymore.
Images have been rendered in JPEG format (from RAW camera files), and may have been compressed. Images may also be presented in WEBP but a JPEG photo should always be accessible.
Some care has been taken to preserve any EXIF data attached to the images particularly of those images captured on a phone (which usually contains useful geolocation data). However, this is not guaranteed, especially with edited photos.
If you are after the RAW photos, I might have them lying around somewhere. Send me an email and I'll try my best to get back to you.
Much of the inspiration for this website including its general layout, theming and style was taken from Wongm's Rail Gallery. Go check out his site, there's a lot more there!
The layout and design inspiration for the individual photo pages draws heavily from the website design of the Art Gallery of NSW.
All photographs and posts are my own unless otherwise indicated. If you would like to use these photos for your own purposes please send me an email beforehand. I'd love to see what you do with them!
